Gee's Caribbean Kitchen: Taste Authentic Caribbean Cuisine in Cincinnati

It saddens me to see some of the reviews for this place because the food is good and very much well reasonably priced. I met the owner and his story was really amazing. It's nice to see black businesses expanding, especially in a very busy area like Clifton. I don't know this man, I'm not family, but he's definitely put a lot of heart and soul in what he's doing! Keep going, God is on your side!

Food Just Needed A Little Gravy Or Something For The Rice And Peas . If You’re Familiar With Gee’s On Pippin This Is A 2nd Location, It’s Clifton So Expect Limited Parking. It’s Spacing Inside I Believe It’s The Old Hwy 55 Restaurant Building From Back In The Day. Really Nice People Great Portions For The Price . Wouldn’t Hesitate To Come Back, Definitely Earned A New Customer !

As someone who has been to Jamaica, this is authentic. The jerk burger and rice and peas are amazing. I will definitely be coming back.

Got take out from here for the first time yesterday. It was soo good!! The jerk chicken was very flavorful and tasty! Would come again :)

Before this location was open, I went to the one on Pippin and both times, the man was rude and the food mediocore. The only reason I tried Gee's today in Clifton is bc my fave jamaican restaurant(yummis Express) was closed and I was really craving oxtails. I decided to give the Gee's in Clifton a chance and I am so glad I did. I called it in (the woman who answered was friendly unlike the one on Pippin) and when I arrived my food was already ready. The food was delicious. Almost as good as Yummi's Express. Also, the restaurant was clean and I wouldn't have minded eating it there unlike the other location where it looks cluttered and uninviting. I say all this to say that Gee's (in Clifton) is now one of my top 5 restaurants. I wish I knew the name of the woman who served me bc I would have mentioned her name. Good customer service is hard to find and so when I receive it, I like to acknowledge them bc people are quick to post when something is wrong but not when something is great. Thank you and I will definitely be back.

Had the rasta pasta meal with fried okra and cornbread. This is probably one of the best meals ive ever had. They load the pasta with their jerk chicken, its such a generous portion. Spicy, but only enough for some sniffles, not enough to make me sweat. Cornbread was sweet and fluffy and the okra was like juicy crunchy little balls of joy. Also i went on a very hot day after a long walk, and their dining room felt like walking into heaven.

Had dinner at Gee's tonight, and it was so worth everything. The restaurant was clean, and the background music made me sway to the beats. Most importantly the FOOD was absolutely delicious. This will not be my last time here. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
